IMH Targets Bangladesh Market to Expand International Patient Base, Aims for 30% Growth in Foreign Patient Portfolio and Revenue of THB 1.5 Billion by 2027
IMH is accelerating its strategy to expand its international patient base, with Bangladesh identified as its latest target market. The company recently welcomed the Honorary Consul of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to Thailand to showcase the capabilities of its International Center, reinforce confidence in its healthcare services, and further strengthen its position in the international healthcare market. IMH expects its foreign patient portfolio to grow by 30% and has set a revenue target of THB 1.5 billion by 2027.
Mr. Boonyarit Kalayanamit, Chairman of the Audit Committee, and Dr. Sittiwat Kamkatwong, Chief Executive Officer of Intermedical Care and Lab Hospital Public Company Limited (IMH), announced the company’s continued efforts to expand its international patient segment following its successful penetration of emerging markets under the BRICS network, particularly Russia and the Maldives. Most recently, IMH has expanded its focus to Bangladesh.
The company welcomed Ms. Pojjana Paniangvait, Honorary Consul of the Embassy of the People's Republic of Bangladesh in Thailand, on the occasion of her visit to the International Center at IMH Silom Hospital. During the visit, both parties discussed strategic initiatives to attract Bangladeshi patients to receive treatment at IMH SILOM International Hospital, a large-scale specialty hospital and cancer center located in the heart of Bangkok’s Silom-Sathorn Central Business District (CBD). The hospital is scheduled to commence operations in the first quarter of 2027.
"The Honorary Consul and distinguished delegates toured several advanced medical innovations, including Robotic Surgery systems and Laparoscopic Surgery technology. Witnessing the hospital’s treatment capabilities and cutting-edge medical innovations firsthand will help strengthen confidence among Bangladeshi patients seeking medical treatment in Thailand. Bangladesh represents one of the fastest-growing international patient markets, and successfully penetrating this segment will create significant value for IMH in the future," said Dr. Sittiwat.
Currently, IMH Silom Hospital provides international patient services through its International Center located on the second floor of the hospital. In early 2027, the International Center will be relocated to a dedicated seven-storey building within the new IMH SILOM International Hospital, offering comprehensive facilities exclusively designed to serve international patients.
"As the Official Healthcare Partner of BRICS Thailand, with Dr. Meechai Thaocharoen, President of BRICS Thailand, serving as an advisor to the hospital, IMH continues to welcome patients from key emerging economies, including Russia, China, India, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as other important markets such as the Maldives, Bangladesh, and Indonesia. The hospital places great importance on maintaining strong relationships with embassies and diplomatic missions to enhance confidence among international patients and deliver world-class healthcare services," Dr. Sittiwat added.
Dr. Sittiwat further emphasized that the company’s international expansion strategy is expected to drive the IMH Group’s revenue growth significantly. IMH targets revenue exceeding THB 1 billion in 2026 and anticipates revenue surpassing THB 1.5 billion in 2027, reflecting the company’s commitment to achieving accelerated and sustainable growth in both domestic and international healthcare markets.
